About Hinton Associates
Commitment to Independent Advice
Hinton Associates, a division of IFPAS Ltd, is a privately owned independent
practice offering financial planning advice of the highest quality.
I believe that the best financial advice is independent advice. I
recommend products and services offered by leading companies in every
field - without bias. My loyalties are to my clients.
Great emphasis is placed on professional competence and integrity. I
am required to sit professional examinations and undergo continuous
training to keep abreast of latest developments in the financial services
industry.
Hinton Associates outsources its compliance and training functions
to SimplyBiz. SimplyBiz is the fastest growing service provider to IFAs
in the UK and now has over 700 member firms, having grown to that number
in just two years.
The association with SimplyBiz enables me to draw on a pool
of expertise in all areas of financial planning to complement specialisms
and provide clients with local, skilled and experienced advice of
the highest possible standard.
You probably find, like many people, that in your business and private
life you seldom find time to examine your financial affairs in depth. You
become preoccupied with the day-to-day running of your lives
You may find it hard to keep the whole of your financial picture in
view. Like a jigsaw puzzle, the more pieces you have, the harder
it is to see where you are. From taxes to investments, from life
assurance to pensions, you may currently have several advisers whom you
consult on fragmented areas of your financial life.
Even when your responsibilities reduce, i.e., at retirement, the need
for financial planning does not go away.
Hinton Associates is committed to providing professional and independent advice and
maintain impartiality by not being backed or supported by outside
institutions.
History
Terry Hinton has worked in Financial Services since 1986 and has built
a successful practice through her commitment to her clients, ability
to identify their needs and knowledge of the products and services available.
Her aim is to provide the best advice available at the most competitive
charges. She is particularly able to achieve this through having identified,
years ago, the need to reduce paper; she has run a "paperless" office
since 1997 and plans to pass on this concept through providing reviews,
valuations, etc. online to those clients wishing to reduce their own
paperwork.
She decided to specialise in the investment and Inheritance Tax planning
fields, believing this approach to be more valuable to clients than acting
as a generalist and endeavouring to be all things to all clients. These
specialities have enabled her to broaden her horizons to encompass offshore
planning. She accordingly outsources all non-specialist areas of financial
planning to associate companies who are specialists in their respective
fields, i.e. mortgages, pension transfers, etc.
